A car has crashed into a barricade outside the White House and a man is scaling the fence. Secret Service Agent 1: Fence jumper! What do we do? Secret Service Agent 2: Let's ask him. He's our boss.
Actually, the “barrier” they hit was a temporary orange plastic can, and there was tape around it. Could well have been in a location they were used to driving through, and the minor bump they apparently gave it wasn’t that big a deal, and they could well have NOT been all that “blown away”. Ever hit a kids toy left in the driveway after dark?
Hey drunk driving is drunk driving. They should have been subject to a police investigation and charged like any other citizen. The cover up just shows how undisciplined the Secret Service has become.
ODon, actually, if you’re driving drunk, without a license, blindfolded, or at age 6, if you’re on private property on that parking lot, and have the permission of the property owner, you’re NOT “illegal”. (It’s for example how 5-year olds are allowed to drive ATVs, or for that matter, Mac trucks or tractors on their parent’s property.)
