Still in her prime. Distinctly not the norm..Clandestine client requests her skills; Blaze heads out of the doorIntrigued, unnerved, deeply impressed, she’ll soon be back for more.Notta is notorious; once under lock and keyStill mourns her dear departed George: tears none allowed to see.Blaze, she tries to get a grip, keeps her breathing steadyNotta sly, no need to try, for anything she’s ready.

I do think that ”Sheesh” says it all!

Blaze had finally had enoughShe’d be polite but strong and toughShe definitely knew she had to goAnd get prepared for tell and showShe was surprised with Notta’s poiseBlaze half expected some drunken noiseYet Notta stood both strong and firmBlaze felt she had a lot to learnShe tried to reign her emotions inBut felt that eagerness might winAnd as each day kept passing him byDick Tracy could only release a sad sigh.

It’s all a bit overwhelming, but Blaze is off to her afternoon “client.” I think maybe Notta is “her type” (recalling that “Ponytail” is not). To be continued in some future instalment, I’m sure.

Fantastic conversation yesterday. It went in directions I never expected to see in a forum like this. So many great graphics were shared, too. Wow. Between all of that and the great poetry shared by Pequod77 and avenger09 today, I’m fairly in awe of you guys right now.

Like I said, it’s not the drink that overwhelmed her. If you’ll observe closely, you’ll notice that Blaze didn’t actually drink much of it.

Notta seems too, too knowing. This leaves Blaze flustered and confused. phinnmam is surely correct: twisted! Blaze needs to settle into her afternoon routine to cool off (isn’t that ironic?), while Notta draws upon her mysterious intelligence source(s)….

Notta is a fabulous character. She is a deeply flawed, tragic woman who has paid a high price for her criminality. Her husband, George Chin Chillar, died at Tracy’s hand, caught killing Piggy Butcher, who had molested Notta. Jailed, Notta took comfort in narcotics and music, only to lose her brother, Purdy. Frozen to death in a suicidal dash from Tracy, Purdy was brought back by Dr. Klippoff. What walked through the door may have had a faint pulse, but none would call Purdy’s “return to life” a success (unless he has recovered in ways that remain hidden to us). Cryonics was in the news at the time, and Gould seems to again have been editorializing, underscoring the view of such pseudo-science as quackery. Notta has apparently been Purdy’s caretaker since her release from prison. She is bitter at Tracy, yet seemingly not driven to revenge a-la Stiletta. As was pointed out yesterday, she is sympathetic to a degree, due to her suffering.

The wonderful panels posted by Willy and Ray are much appreciated. Transitioning from the Bribery story to Chillars & Piggy cemented my fascination with Tracy. I love the busy hands in panel two: Blaze straightens her tie, as Notta sips her drink. In the third panel, notice how Blaze is small, her face hidden in shadow. Notta’s abode looms in the background, the sunlight reflected in the door’s glass looks downright lunar to me. It is also part of a line that runs down the door, down Blaze’s shoulder, continuing with the railing up the steps to Notta’s home. I will say that I thought Blaze was creped out by Notta, not what others thought yesterday. There is something I learned only yesterday in my Com252 class. “The familiar, is beautiful to us.” A woman, dissipate her physical shape, is not familiar when she has a beard. As one such as I, I’ve had my share of repulsions from other women since I’m “not familiar.” However ones who judge people by their actions ultimately find me a most attractive person.

Notta may be ultimately attractive to Blaze — personally I do not find either attractive, and it’s not because of their physical attributes. I’m not attracted to evil people such as Silver. I have some respect for her, but still. Her negativity far outweighs anything attractive.

Someone had enquired about PURDY FALLER - His instant death from freezing on the Moon in 1969, and the results of the immediate subsequent effort, by one Dr. Klippoff, to restore him to Life . . .

Prior to that, Purdy - younger brother of Notta Chin Chiller had been the Laser mining machine operator in Diet Smith Gold mine #2 – and had, over a period of time illegally ‘stashed’ Billions of dollars in Gold Bars atop a nearby mountain. Discovered by Tracy and Smith following the murder of a Purdy co-worker !

With these discoveries along with a plan to deliver Gold to Intro on Earth he was held on the Moon and questioned’, realizing the ‘game’ was up dashed outside into the sub Zero, Airless atmosphere and Froze immediately . . .

The following ‘rough copy’ panels provide atmosphere as they pick up the story from with “Lie Restorer” - Dr,Klippoff . . .

We could take this suicide as Purdy Faller, Moon Miner Billion Dollar thief simply “stepping OUT”

Another post will follow showing Purdy F stepping back IN, with Dr. K holding out a beckoning hand . . .. IA result that was ‘inconclusive’ as some called him dead’, which Dr. Klippoff stoutly refuted But it’d difficult to ignore that the body WALKED IN and Sat in a Chair on commandWhatever his physical/mental condition today, clearly LIVES *on, as seen seated in a Wheel Chair . . .

In their ‘own time’, the Authors will reveal his current condition, if there’s been any improvement leading to a bigger role in the story, or if he truly remains in an unresponsive wheel chair state as we’ve seen (?)

Here then, is Dr. Klippoff’ - making his presentation to introduce a “life like”, revived Purdy Faller - to come through that door,

Chet Gould seemed to intentionally leave the result in ambiguous fashion. Clearly leaving a FULL restoration as a future ‘possibility’..If *he*at sometime (or a future Author) chose to “open” that Door . . ..

Mike now has him on “show” and he’s either there to “sweeten” the graphics, play a tease you game or plans a more profound longer term role.And his job is to keep us “guessing” (likely with some ‘misdirects’?) until story end.

Below - Chet had Purdy’s sister Notta Chin Chiller – in, to throw some ‘histrionics’ and then tearfully relent . As indicated here we’ll likely have an ongoing “Guessing Game” for several weeks’Hope the graphics, the notes, help to provide a better understanding of what had earlier happened and explaining Purdy’s rebound and coming around in his Wheel Chair ?Odd thing is, not a word - about Dr. Klippoff ? Could he still be on the case ?

The “Freezing” and “Defrosting” of Purdy Faller was by turns arresting, gruesome, and macabre – Even by the Gould standard.

Remember when Mr. Freeze froze Batman and Robin on the 1966 TV show, and the docs had to defrost them?

This reminded me of that.

Only a scant two years later.

But exponentially more disturbing.

She’s already confused. Hopefully, she can lose the confusion later. I think they’ll be working together a lot, but we may or may not see it, since a lot of it will be routine.

The only thing that Indiana banned was local laws requiring homosexuals to be treated the same as heterosexuals, but that ban has now been removed, so it’s now legal again for cities and town to ban discrimination.
