Is that what the kids were calling daydreaming in 1995?

Does Mrs. Wormwood know, what a screen saver is?

Calvin’s eyes were on screen saver, but when Miss Wormwood startled him, apparently his brain was not on scream saver.

Great line, from a time everyone had a CRT desktop and you actually needed a screen saver to prevent “burning in.” Calvin has created a whole new set of “good old days” for me.

Calvin’s hair didn’t look like this in the days before Miss Wormwood was his teacher.

It’s called Attention Deficit with hyperfocus. I could do that, too, as a child. Because I could hyperfocus, I didn’t believe that I could have ADHD for many years. The authorities in our society define it to be a disorder only because we don’t pay attention to THEM when we have more important things to do.

I actually daydream a lot. When I’m listening to music, I pretend I’m the one that’s singing even though I can’t sing for toffee.Or chocolate. Or fizzy cola bottles.xxx

Eyes on “screen saver” and audio “off.” My wife accuses me of being in that mode often. She thinks it’s a mental deficiency; I think it’s a talent.

Man, 20 years ago and a screen saver reference. I didn’t even remember that screen savers were being used that long ago. Everything makes me feel old.

Whenever I read the comics, I always imagined Miss Wormwood with June Foray’s old lady voice.
