Good morning, just barely. All is quiet on the Utah front except for a very noisy Scooter who apparently thinks his meows are soothing and melodious. He is mistaken.
It appears that 8 out of the Ten Cats haven’t learned the art of walking though walls like the cat in Robert A Heinlein’s “The Cat Who Walks Though Walls.”At least when it comes to treats.
If people like books with dogs, I’m reading a series that includes Spot, a Harlequin great dane. The main character is an ex-San Francisco cop turned PI in Tahoe. Good books. He uses other search & rescue dogs as well as dogs that sniff out bombs and fire accelerants.
Can you believe it, I skipped over Ten Cats last nite!!!
As I was going up to bed I couldn’t remember what i posted, that’s because I didn’t post anything. I have half-heimers. I only remember half of anything!
My favorite dog book is Racing in the Rain, written from the dog’s view and not horribly sad, as it is fiction and rather sweet. Merle’s Door required a wet washcloth on my eyes nearly every 5 words for the last several pages. It is a true story about an amazing dog (written at the end of it’s life of course), and I thought I would never stop sobbing,
There are no better Cat Mystery solvers than Joe Grey and Dulcie and the Kit in Shirley Rousseau Murphy’s books-and magical ancient talking Celtic cats too-check it out.
Thanks, all, for the book recommendations. I will be starting some new series. An idiot just pulled into my front yard to ask directions. He sunk up to his axels. I have a circular driveway so there was no reason to pull in the yard. He said he would come back when the weather is better and fix my yard, (am I holding my breath?) He also said he felt like a dumb ass. I wanted to point down to the donkeys IN THE BARN, looking out at him, and say, “They are a LOT smarter than you!!!”
Just read a book in a series by Peggy Webb. It is ’A Southern Cousins Mystery. The dog helps solve the murders. But he is is sure he is Elvis incarnated. He happens to be a basset.
