Oh, THIS IS GOOD! Pruneface? Mr. Bribery (since someone recently mentioned that Mike &/or Joe had been asking about information from that era)? No matter who, I look forward to this storyline! It is good already!!!

The sun beat down on this moment in timeIt’s rays unaware of just what they were illuminating. The introduction of individuals who’s motives remained cloaked in a marauding sense of simmering violence.Blaze tentatively approached this giant Bolt with her voice quivering yet eager to get the introductions over with.Arrogance was always a part of BB-Eyes repertoire and Blaze knew he could be trusted not to change who he was.As consistant as a political scandal BB-Eyes snickered at the thought of someone claiming to be bigger than he was.Affording himself one look inward confirmed the outward..Recogization is a tremendous edge in his line of employment and only a fool would reject the gift of advantage it brings and BB-Eyes would never be confused as someone’s fool!

    . Something different today kiddies.

So, now our mysterious boss man has a name, “Mr. Bigg.” BB-Eyes says he knows him. I wonder if the rest of us know him. Are we going to see him? If the speed with which we saw Venus is any indication, it could be a while.

I see that T-Bolt seems to have acquired a hyphen. I like it better that way.

Mr Bigg? Over Venus and Apollo there should be Zeus or Jupiter. And why secret? Maybe is a respectable citizen who has a double life, like Mr Alpha. BB eyes may have seen him on the Web, but so could others.

Neil Wick is right, IMO, that “T-Bolt” (recallingTybalt from Romeo and Juliet?) reads better hyphenated. And she is clearly based on Grace Jones (as May Day in A View to a Kill), bodyguard and driver to Mr. Bigg and towering over Blaze Rize. But who does BB-Eyes recognize in the limo calling himself “Mr. Bigg”? Is it someone we know well by some other name?

One Ring to Rule Them All …?

Again … Could Big Boy have faked his death and fled to Europe?

He’d supposedly been dying of heart disease, right?

Of a “Black Heart” one might say.

Looking at the hand, if it is Big Boy, he’s mightily dessicated.

Whoever said yesterday that “Blaze Rize knows T-Bolt in the biblical sense” was proven wrong today. If that were true then Blaze wouldnt have needed to introduce herself to T-Bolt.

Apparently BOTH Blaze and B.B. Eyes know Mr Bigg, but B.B. Eyes seems to know him as someone ELSE! interesting.

Wouldnt it be hysterical if it was BIG BOY?!?!?

B-B Eyes recognizes Mr. Bigg. Yet, with time compression artfully manipulated, Bigg could be from any era of the strip. While we saw Big Boy die of a heart attack on panel, Mr. Bribery’s fate was left to our imagination. He almost certainly would have died instantly from plummeting from the Space Coupe and crashing through the roof. It appears that his corpse is being photographed, as opposed to the undertaking of any sort of life-saving procedures. Still, we don’t actually see the body. I don’t recall a definitive declaration of death. The survival of Bribery is highly unlikely, but not impossible in the world of comic strips. How long would he have been in traction? I suppose Mr. Bigg will tell of this, in the unlikely even he is Mr. Bribery returned to Tracytown.

In any event, I am enjoying the intrigue.

Well it’s fairly easy to guess, that the ‘IDENTITY’ of Mr. Big will be a long held secret in this story-line . . . ?

And many will ‘speculate’ (every time we see his ‘hand’) on just who - from the past, carries a “familiar face” ?A ‘teasing’ CLUE today, to set the more ambitious off . . .

Some might reason that if a B-B Eyes could survive, so might have one of the following Big Commanding Figures from the past . . .

Intro ? (from the Laser explosion)Ace of Spades ? Head of the 52 Gang (from Prison)Mr. Bribery ? (from his fall to the prison roof)

And there may be others I’ve overlooked ?

As Evil’s “guiding hand” continues to appear - up ahead the occasional speculation on ‘identity’ and ‘reasoning’ will be interesting !

Since I dont think anybody has mentioned it yet, Bonaparte Ignace Gallia was known as Mr. Big in Ian Fleming’s James Bond novel Live and let Die. Although I doubt there is a reference here, T-Bolt is pretty obviously the bodyguard Mayday from the Bond movie as mentioned by other writers.

    Further - on Mr Big . . .

He likely ran the largest Nation Wide Gang in early Dick Tracy. And he’s still alive and in prison yet, has been consistently overlooked for a ‘comeback’ by ALL the writers that followed Chet Gould. e.g. Collins, preferred Big Boy.

The candidate’s name is - Boris Arson !

I’m sure that as Mike has read his IDW Tracy reprints he’s likely ‘noted’ all these factors, and feels reader ‘focus’ will be on those three names mentioned earlier, until (at story end) he slips the*Boris* ‘identity’ in, from the bottom of the deck ! ?Surely, an unexpected one ! ?

For the record (and ‘speculation’) two further Big Time Operators - remain in prison - Boss Jim Herod/1933 and Black Pearl/1940.But the later, by virtue of sex and (Joe S’s) hand design, might easily be ruled out !

@AshmaelMr Bigg? Over Venus and Apollo there should be Zeus or Jupiter.

I’ve enjoyed reading the conjecture over Mr. Bigg’s true identity, especially the information on bad guys I’d never heard of.Is it possible that Mr. Bigg was someone who’s appeared before, but not as a major villain?I’m just sitting back and enjoying the ride, as I have absolutely no idea who Mr. Bigg might be.

“Speaking of rings, I don’t believe anyone has ever noted the similarities of these two: . . .”-—————————————————————————

    SHARP as a Tack there - W007 . . .Bond would’ve been proud of you - Great observation !

If this eventually proves to be the new Bribery outfit, it would seem that they’ve changed the groups ‘common denominator’. Gone is the crude branded “B” on those foreheads, now replaced by a less obtrusive orange ring ?

Of course, given the pictures you provide, and as you’ve noted, it would seem that she (Venus) *-

wears one on each hand !Haven’t had time to check, but did the original Mr. Bribery wear a ring ?

Character T-Bolt seems to be modeled loosely after Jamaican actress, model and singer Grace Jones . . .(See Wikipedia)

She took the part of “May Day” in the James Bond movie - “View to a Kill”, and also had a role in "Conan the Destroyer.

I wonder if Mr. Bigg is Abner ? …

Abner was just a hired killer for the organization and when Apollo asked if he’d killed Tracy yet, Venus said that he hadn’t but she knew where to contact him. Given all that, it doesn’t seem possible that Abner could be Mr. Bigg.

    Boris & Natasha’s “Fearless Leader” reported directly to a “Mr. Big” – One “G” – I think …

    I posted mine before I read yours…!____________________

No worries, we’re all on the same team here.

Rather intriguingly, Rocky & Bullwinkle’s “Mr. Big” was at one point working in conjunction with – Wait for it – Moon People!

If I remember correctly, their names were Gidney and Cloyd.____________________

    You remember correctly.

Do you remember the name of the “Crown” one of their leaders once wore, which ended up being worn by Bullwinkle, with rather unique results?

I know it’s highly unlikely, but given the Blackhearts’s origins in Europe, I can’t help but wonder if “Mr. Big” isn’t really Tintin’s foe Roberto Rastapopoulos. Rastapopoulos was a devious criminal mastermind who made Flattop look like a choir boy by comparison.____________________

Well, Tracy did fight someone out of Annie’s Rogues Gallery last year, so I suppose there remains an outside chance.

By that reasoning though, it might also be Dr.Zin.

Actually, now I’m kinda hoping it’s Dr. Zin …
