What ever happened to the era of “Deficits don’t matter”? Oh, that’s right, it ended the moment a Democrat got elected President.

By your logic, why not start printing money in massive quantities and give it away (to end poverty) and also eliminate all taxes. We would have annual deficits in the trillions and everyone would be happy. The national debt would increase into the quadrillions and then quintillions. Sounds good right ?

The saddest thing about the Republicans is that they give elephants a bad name….

6 years, no budget passed, never made it out of the Senate. Yet now, all of a sudden, it is an issue. I would dare ask people to put partisanship aside for just a moment, and ask them selves why this is.

Don’t confuse the national deficit with the national debt. The deficit is an annual word game, the debt is a forever threat. The debt will come due for payment, then what? On a personal note (pun alert), how much long term debt can you afford as a percentage of your income?

Our city in Oklahoma considers it too expensive but they have been forced to open one. The drop off depot (of which there is only one) is closed most of the time.

Back in1978 or so, San Jose, CA, entered into a contract with a large Corp. to pick up trash. It was mandatory for the citizens; they couldn’t haul their own or even compost kitchen garbage. The Mayor was in violation ’cause she had a compost heap. I left the state that year, never did hear how the lawsuit turned out.
