Two people look at their child. A newspaper with a headline about Superbowl XLIX is behind them, asking why the Seattle Seahawks passed the ball in the final play. Baby: Why did he pass? Man: His first words!
Reminds me of Jean Van de Velde several years ago, playing the final hole of the Open with a three stroke lead. He made at least two of the worst play-shot decisions in the history of golf, shot a 7, went into a playoff and lost.
Funny thing is, if the pass had worked and the Sea Hawks had won, it would have been hailed as the greatest play in Super Bowl history! The play is only bad if it does not work.
Oh come on now! Isn’t that a bit like the bitterness that we sometimes (or even often) see on this site by the ultra conservatives here? You should be a better poster than that!
If nothing else, the hypebowl was a reasonable and welcome break from the death, doom and dispair of the reguler news. Heck, even the commercials were more amuzing than usual!
Question of the day:How does the outcome affect your standard of living next month? How would it be any different if the other side had won?(Politicians love these events – they can pass any legislation they want and no one will notice!)

Because, honey, when everyone expects a run, you can try a pass when the man guarding your receiver is a rookie who has never intercepted a pass.

My normally intelligent daughter-in-law reportedly chose the football game over Downton Abbey. What the….?

If someone wants to watch the game, that’s fine. I will occasionally watch a sporting event myself, sometimes even in English.
