Time keeps on slippin’ slippin’ into the future - but it’ll slide much faster with some buckshot.

CARMY You are not going to get me going. It looks vaguely like a dragon, but has no tail like the dragons around here. My shrink says my insurance has run out and never to darken his door again.

Okay, I can’t believe I’m saying this - but the bush in the foreground looks vaguely like a scottie dog, and the one in the background sort of looks like a frog.

D arn the lack of sleep.

I guess quicksand would be a buzzard’s version of a fast food joint.

Once the person is buried in sand; how do the vultures get to the person to eat him? If the sand is only pretty quick (slow) why did the person stay there until he could not get out again?

    JohD17,

Let me be the first to say, “Thank you!” For the record, in case you all haven’t guessed, my favorite bird is the vulture! I am a fan of all birds (especially chicken, roasted), but the vulture is royalty to me. So, I guess your comment qualifies you as a king on Birdbrains. Hmmm… is that good?

And to all you others - I love these comments about how to get out of quicksand and references to other vulture toons, etc. It really does take a simple cartoon about two birds trying to work out dinner plans to a whole new level. So, let me be the first to say, “Thank You!”

And thank you all for reading this dirty cartoon!

    Birbrain readers are the BEST!!

    Thom

    Thank you once again, Thom.

It takes a good cartoon strip to make the reader’s comments good!

Mr. Wolf (names are changed to protect the innocent),

Naw, I’m a lucky guy and I know it. It’s such a profound honor and privilege to be here and then to have such loyal and supporting readers is a real gift. I NEVER feel like the cartoons are worthy - EVER.

I’ll keep doing my best, but until I start seeing nose milk on the inside of my computer monitor screen, I won’t think the cartoons are worthy. (I know - don’t hold my breath).

Thank you for the kind words, Terry - and to all!

YOU ARE VERY APPRECIATED BY THIS BIRDBRAIN! Thom

The vultures are a work of art! I think the vulture on “Little Dog Lost” can sympathize. I hope you didn’t give him any ideas!

I totally agree that Grog is a Birdbrain (Blows Raspberry!)

Hi Supreme Ruler of the Birdbrains!

You do pretty good, yours is one of the few panels that I try to read every day. Trying to come up with 365 new, entertaining panels every year has to be extremely hard.

Did you want us to start taking a drink of milk right before we read the panel, so we will have milk in our mouths?

    LuvH8,

Seriously, would you mind making sure your mouth is full of milk when you read this stupid little cartoon? I’d appreciate it!

    COOKIE FOR YOU!!

Thank you all. YOU are very appreciated… like a vulture appreciates a good carcass.

Now, isn’t everyone appropriately offended? :)

Mr. Blue, if you do get any milk on the inside of your monitor, you’re gonna need this for sure.
