Nobody would disagree that the right education is the remedy to chaos. So what’s the right education, and when will it begin? Why is ignorance so drawn to power? Why do people prefer darkness of the mind? More questions than answers.

Your comment makes absolutely no sense whatever, even for you! If the first two years (or 50% of most bachelors degrees) was free, then why would anybody even HAVE to save their hard earned money for it at all?

This especially affects the middle class, as the rich have all the money they need to send their kids to college anyway, and the very poor still could not afford it as therw are other costs of going ot collegs that they can not afford anyway. It is the great Americam middle class that would benefit the most, just as they did right after WWII when the GI Bill enabled so many of them to go to college. And therefore gave the US its greatest increase in college educated people, which in turn has fueled the greatest expansion in technology in the history of mankind. Of course, such progress would be an anathema to most of the ultra conservatives on this site, so I guess I can understand such a logical fault as your posting leaves the rest of us with!

One should be suspicious of the educational achievement of those who disparage the availability of education.

It’s very good Obama is NOT like "W"playing DeCapprio in the bow of the Titanic (Bush economy) screaming “I am the king of the world”, while starting two needless wars, killing a quarter million people, and pretending he IS the king and not just an actor.

Oh Harley, really now. Public education in the US has problems, but its very existence is a wonderful thing. Even someone as hard hearted as you have to admit that things would be a whole lot worse if there were no public schools. Unless you are really of the opinion that not only was Ayn Rand a genius whose ideas should be widely implemented, but she was a masterful novelist as well.

Uh, where’s the federeal school other than the miilitary academies? I also make typos I miss on occasion, but I guess BAs in education don’t require completing an English course?
