One regular coffee coming right up. Would you care for some non-dairy milk with your coffee?

Try asking for a “flat white” coffee in America and you get the usual milkshake size container of black coffee. No point in asking for skim milk either.

I remember a joke in a strip once. When given the explanation of a placebo the character gave a reply of “is that what decaffeinated coffee is?”

“Non-decaf coffee” is a retronym, like “acoustic guitar” or “dial telephone”.

Whether “non-decaf coffee” is a retronym or a double negative, stop messing with the waitress and just order your damned coffee!!

I call the decaf “unleaded”….and stay away from it!!!

All coffee comes out of one giant underground storage facility – they just put different labels on it.
