Caulfield can do that. Yeah.

Caulfield is THE smart A$$

Evidently Caufield doesn’t have those dreams where he just found out about a test he hasn’t studied for and he’s in his underwear…Man, I still have those…And the underwear isn’t even there….

I just noticed that Caulfield dresses like me. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing.

That kid should show more respect to his teacher and his fellow students.

and people wonder why the education system is failing. teachers who can’t control their classes and students who don’t want to learn.

Caulfield has no respect for other students who need the time he just wasted to complete their tests.

Caulfield is clearly one of those exceptionally bright kids who is completely bored with the way education is given in schools. I was never that bright myself, but knew people who were.

Ditto to garcoa’s comments. Caulfield is a smart ass, but he keeps Mrs. Olsen on her toes (and would she want it any other way?) and by making the rest of the student think, they benefit from his antics as well.

Do not get in the way of the bingo players in the buffet line.

Caufield is just adding an interesting spin to education. His enthusiasm for education may be a bit misguided, but to stifle that may also mean a change in attitude about learning. Yes, he is a bit of a smartass, but it makes an otherwise tedious schoolday go better and hopefully stimulates young minds to stay alert and learn instead of fall asleep or daydream.

Caulfield suggesting visualization techniques is spot on. His dig at Mrs. Olsen is something we see all the time here and is mild compared to what goes on in a lot of classes. The comment about teachers that “can’t control their classes” is obviously from someone who hasn’t been there — teachers are hampered in the disciplinary actions they can take and those students that “don’t want to learn” know where the power truly lies. I’ve had students mouth off, followed the prescribed measures (referred to counselor – returned within 10 min. with noticed “counseled and released”. If I make a parent contact it often results in “why are you bothering me with this?”). 90% of the students and teachers are doing just fine — but that 10% is enough. Disruptive students are being mollycoddled and unresponsive parents tolerated. Give me the tools and I’ll do the job. Je suis Amhad

I feel for the other students who have to listen to Caulfield’s showboating every single day…..
