Howdy Vagabonds..The clouds are still here, but sunshine is expected..David, since your the head man in BC, I would like to know if you could get me tickets to a Lions game, on the 55 yard line?;-).I liked that picture of the Masonic Lodge hall.A timber frame building, it’ll out live us all. Well if there’s no fire..Have fun all..ttfn
Last night we went to the Ethel M chocolate factory here in Henderson. They have a beautiful huge cactus garden that they just cover with lights at Christmas. It was really beautiful and we enjoyed it immensely. Top that off with a cup of hot chocolate and it was a perfect evening. We took one of the young women from our church with us. She loves the lights, but her husband is a paraplegic who doesn’t really like that kind of thing. She did say he would have enjoyed the carolers, though, and probably would have joined them. They were a men’s barbershop-style choir of about 25, and very good.
Funny you should say that the old School House/Masons Lodge would survive being it is a timber frame building. Well, two years ago, that area had a huge flood, and they had to close the park for repairs. The entire main street was destroyed. The lower levels of the buildings were full of mud, but most survived, thankfully. This ghost town is easy to find………..it’s only 17 miles off Interstate 15, and well marked.
