    Mercury ore is called cinnabar. Not to be confused with cinnamon or Cinnabon, neither of which can be processed into mercury.

    “Quick” is an olden term meaning “alive”, as in “cutting a fingernail to the quick”, or “the quick and the dead”, which also refers to jaywalkers in Atlanta.
