PHANTOM: At least P. can remember important things, like the soccer World Cup. But if his long-term memory is working, why doesn’t he remember Devil, his long time canine companion? And where are those rings?! JUDGE PARKER: Clever woman, that Ned. In the meantime…Sam & Abbey’s RV has been picked up by the swirling tornado and deposited in the Land of Oz. MARY WORTH: I like Arye’s & woodworker’s comments.
Judge Parker – A commenter at CK compared this to some popular TV shows that have been ruined by silly subplots. In the past, the fishing trip arc was completed without any “meanwhile back at the ranch” interruption. Wedding in the jungle also. After trying to build up suspense for the arrival of Godiva, they go off on an unplanned trip in an RV, run into a tornado which had some real possibilities, but now interrupted by a return to the ranch and an additional subplot about Neddie’s love life.Rex Morgan – Juggling two plots Sarah’s book, and June’s nursing school politics. The “Sarah” plot had become more interesting with the addition of Mrs. Pierpont and her ill-gained money.
Phantom – Maybe he’ll see the rings in the dirt and that will spur memories. Is Devil all wolf or just part wolf? In either case, why would one immediately wonder who he belongs to. The fact that he’s there indicates he belongs to you.A3G – Margo, Greg wasn’t unattainable. He gave you a ring and wrote long letters. You didn’t answer them. You didn’t want to give up anything. Hope your work is very satisfying.
