this reminds me of a story my highschool principal told of when he was in college. him and a buddy dressed up as Frankenstines monster and a zombie (both are over 6 ft and 250lbs, no fat) they would ring the doorbell and when the people would open the door frankenstine would grunt and hit his bucket with a stick and that was all. He said most people would just dump the candy bucket in their pails and slowly close the door.
I’d feel exactly like this if I had to open the door to a group of teenagers. I’d worry they were going to vandalize my property, or even force their way inside. I’m really glad that the trick-or-treating custom is gradually dying out. I’ll be locking my doors, lowering my blinds, turning out all the lights, and hoping they don’t see any glow from my TV. Trick-or-treating is legalized trespassing and robbery.

The wizard must have stayed out after 9:00, he went back to being an old man again.
