Methane is CH4 NH2 is Nitrous oxide.Methane comes out of cows rear ends and the melting Tundra. Nitrous Oxide used to be a big automobile emission causing smog before there were Catalytic converters.
Kerry is right. Climate change is both human induced, AND a much larger danger to America than ISIS. When ISIS has the power to raise sea levels by dozens of feet, destroy our coastal cities, wipe out the corn harvest, and bring tropical diseases to our shores, they’ll have moved out of the JV into the same league as global warming. The embarrassing thing about climate change is how inexpensive it is to fix compared to the damage it will do, and how the GOP will never, never, never allow the fix to be implemented. Put a price on carbon.
It’s interesting how much climate change denial is starting to sound like 9/11 Truthers and Chem-trail believers. All require increasingly large yet completely secret coordination of various groups in some ever-widening conspiracy, while simultaneously denying both basic science and accusing vast legions of experts in their fields of either being incompetent or else being involved is a nefarious plot. And only the adherents know the “real” truth of the matter in all three cases.
So “the 97% agree is pure liberal myth.”This is from Politifact:A 2010 study published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences – the official publication of the United States National Academy of Sciences – found that out of 1,372 climate researchers surveyed, approximately 97 to 98 percent of those actively publishing in the field said they believe human beings are causing the climate change, which they term anthropogenic (i.e., man-made) climate change. It also concluded that “the relative climate expertise and scientific prominence” of the researchers unconvinced of man-made climate change are “substantially below that of the convinced researchers.”http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2011/aug/14/tim-pawlenty/do-scientists-disagree-about-global-warming/You climate-change deniers continually point to science to support your claims. But you cherry-pick the “facts” you want and call all climate scientists liars who are out to score research money. Which is it?
There are a group of Nitrogen OXiDES that cause damage, at low levels. Carbon is an interesting element, and the subject of an excellent book, simply titled “Carbon”.
But the real problem is NOT just CO2 emmisions. The great thing about the early catalyitc converters was how exhaust in the rain would instantlly form Sulphuric acid (H2SO4). Watched a lady standing in exhaust in the rain, as her nylon stockings began to melt. Which: that’s why it’s important that as rules change, they don’t create more or different problmes just as bad, or worse. Industry approved (and written) regulations, especially under the Reagan and Bush(s) admiinistrations caused lots of problems, while being sold by those industries to the public, as they increased their profits.(subsidies, tax spiffs, etc.)
Even if one does not believe the scientific studies , not just by American, but by those of many other nations, and you believe man-accelerated climate change is just a political hoax, do you really think that the thousands of tons of fossil-fuel gasses, released into our atmosphere every day, is having no effect on the air we breathe?

Methane is CH4. NH2 doesn’t exist in nature; perhaps you were referring to NH3 (ammonia) or NO2 (nitrogen dioxide)?

And here I thought that NO2 was the usual response Obama got from congress on any of his proposals. Chemically speaking, Nitrous Oxide is N2O.

Actually, CO2 is heavier than air, so it would sink as it cools.
