Islamic tradition requires them to think military minded. They dont want peace, they want want want whatever they want, also called greed. Self serving, “give me something, and maybe I will let it lone, for a few days, so keep giving to me and please me…” attitude.
In 70 AD, the Romans thrashed the Jews, tore down the temple and dispersed them. 1900 years later, they think the place still belongs to them.
If you agree, you’ll also need to agree that the US should go back to the Native Americans.
All things must pass.
Cheers!
There are divergent views in the history and development of Islam, which IS at its base a religion of peace and the egalitarian views of Mohammed. Judaism has differences within its “faithful”. Christianity has over 38,000 divisions/sects/denominations- whatever you want to call them.
All three religions have been “interpreted” almost out of existence by latter day “followers” who’ve re-created the faiths in the image that satisfies THEIR need! It’s truly amazing how “monotheism” has led to such opposing views!!
Very few Americans know anything outside Christianity and its link to Judaism. Islam is also VERY closely linked, but while many folks have “opinions”- few have any facts. Those same people are more than ready to make statements that are NOT facts!
Buddhism and other (non-bible) religions are subjects of near total ignorance to Americans.
When Americans ever DO get some facts (well their dogma system would collapse) they might start to understand the arguments between factions and work more toward resolve, and peace.
Asia is complex in history- yes the “middle east” IS in Asia. It is that complexity that demands far more study than Americans are generally willing to put forth before “choosing sides”. There really is no black and white, to the “right or wrong”, but a lot of gray, in multiple layers.
Tom, Israel belongs to the Jews because of the Balfour Declaration and the land given to them by, originally, England. It has never been a “Palestinian” land! It has been administered by many countries, but never until Israel was established in 1948 had it truly been a “country” since the dispersion.
there’s VP joe flying in and getting beating up by israel.
he brought the latest check…imagine israel as a Republic,
not a brit style “democracy”…peace might break out.
Hab- that would come as a shock to the Romans, and a number of others since, and before. While the English or rather Anglicized name might not have been around, well Iraq wasn’t a “country”, India wasn’t a country, Pakistan wasn’t a country, the French and English drawing lines on maps didn’t create “countries” the people living there over the centuries did.
