Good morning fellow DT and Annie fans!

What a great strip today! Sandy arrives! It’s going to be a great week ahead (for us… not for Axel).

It’s time to finally kick this pig.

ARF! I wasn’t expecting Sandy today as well. I certainly was expecting Sam. I wonder if they both came down using the same parachute.

So, now the rescuers are on the island. I really do wonder how they plan to get off again.

There are special parachute rigs that will accommodate dogs. The US military uses them for K-9 teams.

Just how many jumpers are there? Sandy (a real—and welcome—surprise), Sam; who else will show up (or down, to be more precise)? I expect that Sam will be accompanied by Lizz and Fritz Ann. Might the Warbucks team also waft in? In any event, it’s time to start rolling back Axel’s deception and start moving on the person(s) behind him!

Massive lump in my throat today… where Sandy is, surely Warbucks cannot be far behind.

What time is it? It’s CLOBBERING time!

Four still in the air, Neil; but Sandy and Sam are already down and attracting Tracy’ attention.

After four years, four long years, Annie fans finally see Annie and Sandy back together again. Of course, that’s four years in real time. We don’t know how much time has elapsed since Annie’s abduction in comic time. And we’re still awaiting that joyful, always touching, reunion of Little Orphan Annie with her Daddy Warbucks! Can’t wait for tomorrow!

And, lest I forget, Pequod! Great work! Thanks!

I’m no expert on parachuting, but don’t you need some sort of special clothing? In the ‘60s, when Tracy made a jump onto a mesa to catch the 52 Gang that had stolen the Space Coup, he did not jump in his standard business suit. Or did Sam bring a change of clothes?But, I really like the Tracy/Sam reunion here, as well as Annie/Sandy. There’s something way cool about that!

So Sam tucked the hat in his coat, jumped, and put it back on once he was on the ground. Not that hard to make it work.

Or he borrowed a page for the Harrison Ford. Indy Jones playbook and stapled it to his head.

Sentimentality very nice, realistically and logically very flawed. Nice to see Sandy. Arf!

Also please note that the Louisiana State Trooper’s badge is also shaped like the letter “L”. On account of they’re the Law.

I didn’t expect this reunion and should have. It was wonderful.

Actually, I think it makes very good sense to bring Sandy, since the idea is to find Annie. If they’d had to search the whole island, Sandy would be able to find her much sooner than the rescue party — and in fact did.

First panel Sandy is in he looks like a dog. In the next panel, he looks like someone wearing a Sandy fur-suit. Great story today! :)

PQ, you deserve and are getting the bulk of the applause here! Well done! (Sandy is getting the rest) Re: Crimestoppers – seeing a badge in the shape of a state isn’t that rare. It’s pretty common in Texas, as I suspect also in other states.

Great strip today! From that terrific moon in panel 1 right through the reunions.The art has the feel of every World War II movie I’ve seen with an OSS drop for the Resistance. And it’s so good to see Sandy and Annie together again.

Re: Crimestoppers. It’s been a part of the strip as long as Tracy’s yellow fedora. Keep it.Besides, I really enjoy the mini-history lessons.

A great day that had been much anticipated, as Annie and Sandy are reunited. So, too, with Tracy and Catchem. Attention will now turn to Axel and putting an end to his abuse of Kenyon and the townsfolk. Mysteries abound. What exactly is Kenyon developing? How close are his labors to fruition? For whom is Axel working? Does he have an escape plan? Will he escape back in time to the collected works of Harold Gray? .We’ll have to wait to see what kind of action unfolds in the aftermath of help arriving on Thunder Island. Did help arrive by air and by water? In the meantime, reunions are fun. Tracy is bound to scratch Sandy behind the ears, as everyone knows Tracy loves dogs. Mysta sure got a kick out of this encounter:

Arf! Was it all a dream, Annie? Life was slow and easy in Simmons Corners, with trips to Lum and Abner’s, Junior Commandos Headquarters, the picture show and the Silo place for home cookin’. There was more action in Tracyville, especially when Punjab covered up the Butcher with his magic blanket. So long, scoundrel. We also had fun guest appearances by Influence and Hotshot Charlie. gee, I wish Tribune would consider bringing back Annie, can Mike and Joe handle another strip? Maybe a Sunday Only strip?
