Sharpton’s “sharp and harping” response often bugs me, it’s tone more than content. At the same time, in roughly 150 years the KKK has NEVER played the “race card”, and “Bull” Connor was just a real sweet guy, with his dogs.
The United States, as displayed by the table is becoming more divided, and it has a lot to do with folks who don’t want to recognized the real and official motto of the United States until 1953 when idiots put something else on our currency. “E Pluribus Unum” IS about a united, functional nation.
“In God We Trust” is by it’s nature divisive, because how can way over 300 different sects of “religionists” ever agree on much of anything, including race relations, “gay” rights, or who is different enough from their beliefs to bomb next.
You don’t need to play the race card. Plenty of white people are in the same game with the odds equally stacked against them. They are equally angry at their government that does nothing to lift them out of poverty but has the money to keep them perpetually locked up if they dare to take what doesn’t belong to them.
@Boots at the Boar, Well the “plenty of white people” need to vote Democrat from now on if they want the needs of the poor and middle-class addressed. The other party deals solely with getting that 1% through that darn eye in the needle.
Good cartoon. If people actually listened to what Al Sharpton said in Ferguson, instead of hearing the lies about him distorted through the lens of Fox News commentators, they wouldn’t be accusing him of playing the “race card.”
@DLee4144, like looking for a needle in a haystack is trying to find a present-day Republican “candidate ..getting their money (mainly) from small donors or from unions.”
AgentSmith101, and if POCs do anything else, they’re met with a SWAT TEAM…and the more the media lies, the more people like yourself use “race” as a braiding tool.
