Killing someone would actually mark him as competent in some people’s eyes. Wouldn’t matter if it was friendly fire, either. Just ask Pat Tillman. Or Deborah Jeane Palfrey. Or Mike Connell. Or Adamo Bove.

Joanie sets the bar pretty low. Recall that she’s also JJ’s mother – of course, she abandoned JJ when JJ was pretty little. And JJ has paid us all back! With Zeke. What a family.

I think corcho99 has called it. Redfern can portray himself as a veteran, maybe even a war hero if he spins it right (and the press doesn’t do its homework). Get on this, Trudeau – it’s your next great plot twist! REDFERN FOR CONGRESS ‘10!

I know everyone likes to say that one party is as bad as the other, but let’s go down the list:

Dems Rangel- lost chairmanship while impending investigation Edwards- out of politics and life in general Massa- out Paterson- will not run, would be up for election Spitzer- out McGreevey- out Clinton- impeached for a blow job

Reps Vitter- still in Senate Ensign- still in Senate Sanford- still governor Foley- out (hitting on juveniles) Craig- had to be voted out

Is one party worse than the other? I leave it to others to make their own judgment…

The Reps have people who remain in office, whereas the Dems tend to have people tossed out. There is a positive vs. negative relationship going here which is important to pay attention to. (Since I guess I have to spell it out.)

Difference in the parties? One runs on family values and then does the same family devaluing as the other party. Does TOTAL hypocrisy count as a difference?

@montessoriteacher, that is the best, most succinct description of what Clinton did that I’ve ever seen. Puts things in perspective. But really unacceptable - too honest and blunt. Did he really deserve impeachment and all the rest??

Rina, monty’s summary was blunt, but it wasn’t honest. Clinton was impeached for lying about his fun to Congress, not for doing it, although federal laws were also being broken by his “quid-pro-quo” sexual adventures with his subordinate. Many folks in private industry have been fired for far less.
