Boy: One week of summer left. I made the most of it. I'm satisfied. Which is not to say I'm done.
Frazz: Is it me, or is your bike pointed toward Grim-Reaper Gulch?
When I was in grade school, we lived across the street from a Lutheran Church. I remember riding my brother’s bike along the top of the brick wall which bordered the outdoor stairs to the church’s parking lot.Of course, that wall ended in a four foot vertical drop.I can still remember free falling (ending in a pile of bike parts and bruises) in what appeared to me to be as deep as Grim Reaper Gulch.Last week, I happened to drive past the old house (first time in almost 10 years)That church staircase seems very tiny now.
Two days after getting her training wheels removed, my 6-year old grandniece had an encounter with a similar hill and came away a bit bruised. Her mother posted a picture, but I could tell from the look in her eyes that she was going to beat that hill no matter what. The next day — she did just that.

Get over the rear wheel and use the back brake.

At least Grim Reaper Gulch shows more imagination than Dead Man’s Curve.
