We stored my mother’s deceased cat in the freezer compartment of our beer refrigerator for a couple of days until we could bury it. (She called me in the middle of the night to tell me the cat died).
I think New Brunswick or maybe Nova Scotia or Newfoundland have the same policy for Moose. And don’t worry about how long the moose have been roadkill. A 911 call is usually the 2nd or 3rd thing done after hitting the moose. I believe the first thing is either saying “holy s**t!” or “is everyone still alive?” or maybe both.

Pleeeze tell me ..I hope I hope I hope… that Grandma only said that to tease Agnes…or at least to scare her out of bringing home dead animals.
I need to know that she can still see, and that she wouldn’t really skin and butcher unknown creatures, even if they weren’t spoiled,
just to make some sort of non-specific weaselly pie. Please?
