Good morning, Vagabonds. While waiting for my clothes at the launderette, I bought three 10-pound bags of kitty litter. Thank goodness for wheeled shopping carts! How did our grandparents manage?
PS Yesterday, I noticed I had a 1909 Indian penny. It has no “S” on it. I’m afraid to take it to a coin dealer because I may get cheated. I already googled it – it seems to be worth $7.00 Any suggestions?
Arye, I’d hang on to it. A couple months ago I got a funny looking dime and thought it was a “Mercury.” On closer inspection, I saw that it was a “Liberty!” Like you, I Googled it and found out it’s worth about 100 bucks. And I’m hanging on to it.
Howdy Vagabonds..It’s a barmy 29 degrees in little old Albany, Vermont. Just a little cool..I kind’a dread winter, but, I’ll get through Fall first. Fall begins come Monday, where has the year gone?.150 years ago today the St Albans raid took place during the Civil War. It was the northern most action in the war.BTW that Is St. Albans VT..David, by the new it looked like the floods were getting close to you. Hope not..Ok, y’all have a really good day..ttfn
It got down to a balmy 60 during the night, and the clouds this morning are magnificent! Supposed to get some moisture this evening. I sure hope so, ‘cause the rain we were scheduled to get yesterday never showed up.
MRI for My Mountain Man this afternoon. Supposed to take 2 hours since they’re looking at 2 areas of his knee/leg. Won’t get the results until late Monday. :(( I’m not good at waiting for results.
@Arye & DavidTry the PCGS (Professional Coin Grading Service) website. You can get the name and address of a reputable dealer in your area where you won’t get ripped off trying to sell a rare coin. I still need to get my Double Eagles graded (I have 5 of them – legacy from my Dad)
Beautiful morning here. Door and windows wide open to catch the breezes. The new screen door works perfectly!
Both cats love laying on the floor next to the new door watching the world go by. Blaze did take off for the bedroom every time a car goes by for the first couple of days. He’s figured out they won’t “get” him and ignores them now.
