That’s right. Asinine comments by childish contributors who have no idea what extraordinary complexity every administration has faced in trying to resolve the horror story that is the Middle East since 1948. Blame Obama is the knee jerk superficiality that adds nothing but deepening cynicism.

Only one side has the desire to destroy the other in its charter. The problem is that the so-called Palestinians could have had a nation in 1948, but they decided that the hatred of the Israelis was more important. The Palestinian leadership is a group of terrorists. What do you expect to happen?

    Michael, good post. : – )

Denis, you might reflect on the history of Mohammed in dealing originally with mutual respect between him and his Jewish supporters, until they turned on, and double crossed, him. That’s the real “rest of the story”. Jews also did much better under the Moors in Spain, than the Roman Catholics, and Protestants, who later took over in Europe, Asia, and much of that “old world”.

Sorry, can’t seem to get rid of duplicate entries like used to do here.

Which speaking of “duplicity”, comparing almost any religion today, with modern practitioners, rulers, and “interpreters”, most wouldn’t be recognized by their founders. The over 100 denominations in just the Baptist church just demonstrates how “uniform” religious "belief becomes…

the problem with Kerry’s “cease-fire” was that (no doubt under orders from the C-I-C In the Oval Office or the nearest golf course or Dem fund-raiser) chose to promote the version that rescued and protected Hamas, supported by 2 of Israel’s most active enemies, Turkey and Qatar, against the wishes of Egypt, Saudi Arabia and most of the other Gulf governments.-Kerry flew in uninvited to the Israeli-Egyptian talks on a cease-fire, to promote the anti-Israel version. -I have an article written by Ben Shapiro, 8 pages, 7/29/14 at www.breitbart.com/BigPeace) that lists the 8 betrayals by John Kerry, of a USA Ally since 1948!……Obama began betraying Israel early in his first term…..Kept an invited Prime Minister waiting 3 hours with orders to “study” what Obama wanted to talk about! Obama is no friend to the Jewish nation. He only agrees to the necessities that Democratic congressmen support. Since no one in America or on earth can make Obama obey our laws and honor our long-term friendship with the only moral democracy in the Mideast….I suppose Obama will find out the hard way when King Jesus returns and carries out the Biblical “sheep and goats” judgment

“Oh yea then there is the female mutilation like they ordered in Iraq the other day.But you are okay with the Jewish mutilation of men??”

False equivalency. Circumcision, like kosher laws, were promoted for health issues. At the time, no one knew about trichinosis, or how to properly prepare pork or ocean-based scavengers like shellfish. Didn’t work, though: the Jews didn’t get sick, and therefore, they must be witches, therefore tortured and put to death.

Female genital mutilation is part of the concept that sex can be for only one purpose: procreation, and therefore women should not enjoy it. Not only does female genital mutilation prevent enjoyment, it often promotes pain during intercourse.

Now that we understand health better, circumcision is not as necessary, but—like many religions—tradition trumps practicality.
