Yeah, the ‘compassionate’ one who caused only 4500 American soldiers’ deaths and 32,000 physical casualties.

Your legacy will live forever, W.

Territorial disputes and xenophobia pertain to and serve many creatures. It’s a part of “Nonmoral Nature.” Humans are part of nature, and many of our basic actions and reactions are non-moral, although we elaborately justify them as moral. National boundaries may be somewhat analogous to the blue-footed booby’s guano ring. (see Gould, HEN’S TEETH AND HORSE’S TOES, “The Guano Ring.”).http://www1.umn.edu/ships/evolutionofmorality/images/12-1.htm.http://www.sjgouldessays.com/content/nh_essay_summaries_content/03%20Hens%20Teeth%20and%20Horses%20Toes.pdf

Good point. Have to give him props for doing some good.

But as Shakespeare said (I hope I have the wording right, but I’m sure I’m close): the good men do is oft interred with their bones. The evil they do lives on long after. Mr. Bush carries a lot of evil baggage.

Given that illegal immigration largely comes in response to a perception of lax enforcement immigration laws, isn’t it more compassionate to prevent illegal immigration and instead address our immigration policy through the law? It would be much better for that child if he didn’t have to cross the desert and live a shadowy, criminal existence.-http://www.breitbart.com/Breitbart-Texas/2014/07/14/Leaked-Intel-Report-Violence-in-Central-America-Likely-Not-Primary-Factor-in-Border-Crisis

If you had read my linked article you would discover that most of them seem to be motivated by lax enforcement of our immigration laws, not political persecution. But if they are indeed refugees then let them apply for asylum in the manner provided by law.

Why would you even look at any website with the name breitbart on it?.In addition, remember how anybody that didn’t think there was any reason to invade Iraq were on the border of treason?

I don’t see anything about a cover-up, only a discussion of the motives of recent illegal immigrants. I would invite any interested readers to examine the article I linked and decide what it says for themselves.

I’ll go ahead and quote the introductory paragraph, which summarizes the article, and a later paragraph providing factual support for the article’s theme:-——————————-“An elite, law-enforcement sensitive El Paso Intelligence Center (EPIC) intel report from July 7, 2014 was leaked to Breitbart Texas and reveals that homicide rates in Central America suggest violence is likely not the primary cause of the surge of thousands of unaccompanied minors and incomplete family units illegally entering the United States.…“In late May, the U.S. Border Patrol interviewed unaccompanied children (UAC) and migrant families apprehended in the Rio Grande Valley. Of the 230 total migrants interviewed, 219 cited the primary reason for migrating to the United States was the perception of U.S. immigration laws granting free passes or permisos to UAC and adult female OTMs traveling with minors. Migrants indicated that knowledge of permisos was widespread across Central America due to word of mouth, local, and international media messaging—prompting many to depart for the United States within 30 days of becoming aware of these perceived benefits, according to the same reporting.”-——————————-I see no discussion of conspiracy or arguments from lack of evidence. Rather, the article reports on the existence of a government intelligence report which finds that there is evidence suggesting that the recent waive of unaccompanied minors is primarily driven by a perception that our immigration laws are poorly enforced..Again, I would invite any interested readers to read the article for themselves and judge which of us has most fairly summarized it.
