Another stange cartoon (go back and look at Asay’s) that I have a hard time understanding.
I guess what she/he is saying is that we are not standing up to Iran. Maybe she/he could maybe give us some idea of what might work. Cheney/Bush’s “Stop or we will shout Stop again.” didn’t work, the stupid Iraq War shows them that they haven’t any worry about us attacking them, since we can’t even handle the wars we have. So what now?
Maybe that old bumper sticker is right “Nuke them and take their oil!”
Lisa needs to see some more people die in a pointless war that didn’t have to happen. Iran seems like a nice place for young Americans to die to make her happy. (And they will greet us with roses, just as the Iraqis and Afghans did!)
Actually, that the word out of Iran IS mostly just more blah, blah, blah is important to recognize. But in a country unprepared, and panicking, when it actually snows in winter!!–doesn’t need to keep drumming up fear of the improbable problem.
Obama could have made a statement when the Iranian reformist segment was taking to the streets last year to protest the elections, but he remained strangely silent.
The cartoon seems to suggest we don’t take Iranian threats seriously, but I’m sure even the Obama administration is aware of the threat. I’ve always been of the opinion that we remain in Afghanistan and Iraq not so much for the purpose of those countries as for the purpose of a nearby presence (neighbors) to Iran.
No Roger, we just don’t want to kill them because they hate us. Maybe if we left the world alone and quit trying to force our mores upon them they would’nt hate us so much.
What I find interesting is folks like an associate who said “If you don’t like Bush (read “America”) you should leave it. I pointed out I did, to fight in Viet Nam and a couple other places we “weren’t actually” in. My son left for Iraq, Bosnia, and elsewhere to fight for this country.
Nobody in my associate’s family ever served a day in the military to defend, and thus show true devotion, to this country.
Yep, them folks who when you say “Put up, or shut up.”- punt to their old dogma and declare that loving stupidity is more important than loving, and serving, your country.
Those unwilling to fight for the whole country, not just powerful elites ripping us off, calling themselves “patriot” as they avoid service, and steal our money, resources, and very honor- can “shut up”.
Doesn’t the flag represent freedom of religion, freedom of speech, the right to bear arms, etc? Pretty sure the Right is staunchly in favor of that kind of stuff, Ken Warren.

Thing we should stop fearing, is fear mongers.

If that “death to America” actually means “death to the teabaggers” (ie, they are the only ones hiding under their beds out of fear!), be my guest!
JK!

ROGER - If I had to love those who hate America it would meant that I would have to love the Tea Baggers & Fox New, which I don’t.
The Far Right Love The Flag - Hate Everything It Stands For.
