Howdy Vagabonds..The day is beginning to brighten up although it seems to be overcast..Not a whole lot going on right now.Vermont’s fair season continues with Franklin County Field Days this weekend..I’m going to stay with voice actors this week:This is the well know voice of Donald Duck starting in 1934, The last credit was in 1983 “Mickey’s Christmas Carol”.1904-1985.There you are, this should be a given..Enjoy the weekend..ttfn
Good morning, vagabonds. I’ve been enjoying discussing all kinds of things here in Miami with my Miami roommate and Mardan, that I haven’t had time to read the comics until now.
Yesterday the weather man was right about us going to have light showers off and on all day. Today is supposed to be more of the same.
Yesterday we had a girl who used to live across the street from us drop in for a short visit. We haven’t seen her for 40 years since she moved to California with her husband. She was here for her 50th high school reunion. It was so good to see her again. Our three children came so they could see her also. She used to babysit our youngest one. To bad they couldn’t stay longer.
Donald Duck was my all time favorite cartoon character when I was growing up! Watched all the Looney Toons, and Daffy Duck was my favorite there. And now a days, Animaniacs and anything produced by Pixar is a big favorite. I guess I’m a cartoon fan! But…………..I never knew Donald’s voice actor! Had to look them up. Thanks for the trip down Nostalgia Lane, Mark!
There is a story about Donald Duck comic books, though. When I was 8 years old, I was hit by a car while crossing a busy street (in the crosswalk, with a green light), and my favorite Uncle and his then girl friend came to visit me. Well, she brought me a Donald Duck comic book, and it was love at first sight! She remained my favorite Aunt until she died.

Mark: I remember running across that name when I was digging deeper into Sterling Holloway last week. Don’t remember the name, though.
The sky is very dark and gloomy this morning. We’re supposed to get rain and lightening today and tomorrow. I love it!
