yes. She just never could keep her head together to win in the finals in singles (7 runners up). two lower-tier ITF titles doesn’t really count for me.She does have 2 doubles grand-slam titles (with Hingis) as well as 14 other doubles titles – all with multiple match wins.

Unlike, say, college football (where they vote on who gets to make the playoffs, putting a scant step above synchronized swimming), both the men’s and women’s tennis tours use a point system to determine their rankings (best 14 results over the last chronological year), with some events being worth more than others (making the quarterfinals of the US Open will net you more points than winning the Bob’s Gas and Grill Open).
