I still haven’t seen any of those movies. When the first one came out I swore I’d see it, then they rolled off two more movies before I got a chance to. I swore I’d binge them all at once when I had a free Saturday. A decade later three more movies about ‘The Hobbit’ come out, and while I don’t know anything about either of the franchises, it is my understanding that both LotR and The Hobbit share the same universe. So now I feel like I’d have to watch all six movies to get the full experience. Maybe if I have a free weekend this summer, or the next. Tolkien doesn’t have anything else for Hollywood to cash in on, does he?
