My heart goes out to the Iraqi people; they had turned out in great numbers in the face of danger to exercise their right to vote; with the assistance of US forces they had stabilized their country and were on the path to establishing a democratic government. And now this has happened.

^So good you know nothing at all about what al Maliki was doing to the country, or how corrupt most of the administrations we’ve supported, in Iraq, or Afghanistan are, or have been in these and so many other countries around the world. Pinochet in Chile, “the generals” in Argentina, yes, our global involvements have always promoted “democracy”, called “resource extraction” through command and control covertly asserted.
