“Bentley Rotary throttle”? I was surprised when I looked it up. The reference is to the Bentley radial engine used during WWI; although for some reason, it is called the “Bentley Rotary”..You learn something new every day; and by reading the comics for that matter…

That’s what you get for “flying by the book.” The problem is, the other guy reads the book too.

I had two paper back collections of schulz from many years ago , and I read them until the pages fell apart.

The Bentley Rotary Engine was a radial engine that rotated while the crankshaft remained stationary. The crankshaft was fixed solidly to the airframe, and the propeller was bolted to the front of the crankcase. More at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bentley_BR1
