I’ve thought a lot about war, and I"ve come to the conclusion people who want more power over people start wars and they bamboozle “the little guy” to go fight and die so they can get that power.
You’re forgetting. The Terrorists are religious fanatics, mired in 6th century barbarism. They don’t care how many die or how many they kill. To paraphrase an answer to “What difference does it make?”, It makes all the difference between death and freedom to enjoy life. The Terrorists don’t have scruples. They kill us because we are different.

Where do you define “grown up” or “bigoted barbarism”?? Totally by accident, I’ve killed children in war, and it is the worst of my PTSD causing memories when the scene was described to me. Yes, two dead NVA who were shooting at us, but 7 children in the hooch as well, THAT is our war against “insurgent” populations in nations WE INVADE, and in the case of Iraq and Afghanistan, TOTALLY ILLEGAL!
BTW: I’m Buddhist in my belief’s not “Christian” or “Atheist”, but a number of years ago, I do recall some “atheist” folks who complained about the Crosses being on their loved ones graves, and gee, some Jewish folks as well! (Interesting that the Jews got the Star of David to replace the crosses) It’s one of the reasons the cross is ONLY put on the rectangular headstones upon request of designation now.
Liberals would’ve asked Hitler what we could give him not to attack the US. Hey if he’s only killing millions of people in Europe and taking over their countries then who cares, right?And we’d all speak German.
