Although I’m semi-vegeterian, I do like a good veggie burger as well as meat burger.

As we’ve always said, if you want a burger with no meat, that’s what McDonalds is for. Everyone knows the only meat they have is in their fries. And possibly their shakes, but I haven’t touched those things in years…

So if you meet meHave some courtesyHave some sympathy, and some taste…

I’ve been a vegetarian all my life, and I hate veggie burgers.

Years ago my husband and I made a little extra $$ by working at a Bingo parlour. We earned $20 and free dinner from their snack bar. We would order hamburgers, we thought that the burgers didn’t taste that good…kinda grassy-tasting and bland. The next week, thinking we just got “bad” ones, we got burgers again…they tasted the same. One night I happened to see them pulling the burgers out of the freezer from a box clearly marked “veggieburgers”. We both switched to pizza. Veggieburgers are simply gross.

I’m not a vegetarian because I love animals. I’m a vegetarian because I hate plants.

I’m a hard-core meat eater, but there are some veggie burgers that are pretty good. The morningstar griller tastes like a good beef burger.

When I was in college (a LOOONG time ago), I found a product called “Granburger”. It was a granular soy product that when mixed with water was very similar to ground beef. It was pre-seasoned and you could use it in anything that called for ground beef. Went great with Hamberger Helper (the poor college student’s staple.)

Some veggie burgers are gross, but I have had one or two that were good.

I was waiting for the punchline to be an action figure of George Lucas.

I like some veggie burger brands, but draw the line at soy cheese. Now that is vile.

A few years back, my wife and I by mistake picked up some‘non-meat’ burgers in a box(I think there were 12 in the box).Having made the ‘investment’, we ate the burgers. Took us over a month to eat them as they were atrocious, the most vile thing I have ever tasted. NEVER AGAIN ! ! ! !

I had to smile when you said that, given the current state of dietary fads. What’s a diet-obsessed person to do? :)

Let them burn! Let them burn!

That’s the point. What better way is there to show your hatred for a living thing than to kill and eat it?

My wife looked at the ingredients in a veggie burger once. She turned green. That’s good, right?

I am a proud omnivore. I respect the choices of vegetarians but snicker at the notion of fake meat products.

I think Jason’s theology is confused here. Satan doesn’t punish evil; he encourages it.

I’m with Jason on this one. Heck, I was once consigned to cook turkey burgers. Turned ‘em into hockey pucks waiting for them to brown. I was young(er); I didn’t know better.

Finally, a part of Jason’s roleplaying that Roger agrees with. Not that I’m complaining. :)

Hitler was a vegetarian. Do we really want to follow his example? He also abstained from alcohol and tobacco.

I did vegetarian for a full year (without alcohol and mostly without dairy as well – and tobacco is not an option) but now I have yogurt regularly and natural cheeses, but I have some meat at least once a week in main meal.
