    Support for our returning veterans SHOULD be a non-partisan issue, meriting 100% backing from Congress. But, as NeoconMan pointed out, they’ve done their work, and Congress doesn’t need them anymore.

    Thank you, John Deering, for spot-lighting this scandal.

    A “hidden” cost of going to war. The more war, the more devastation of the lives (if they indeed continue) of our troops. The more devastation, the more costly our commitment to them. Although I absolutely agree that we owe them treatment as good as (or better than) that we provide for members of Congress, I will say that if the US was not so hell-bent on warfare, there would be far less demand on the VA system.

    How is it we have unlimited funds for worldwide destruction, yet nothing available for the people we send to do the job?
