And of course it’s the BIGGEST Window in the House!

(Hope it’s not one of those Double-Pane ones, they’re expensive!)

It might be time to rethink that career trajectory, Red!

All of you pessimists, see this as a bad thing, I on the other hand see a big league pitcher in the making.

Back in the day, all my customers requested I place the folded paper between the screen door and door. Limited the blow aways, rained on and run offs.

Now days the newspapers are so small they probably wouldn’t break a window.

What’s a paper? Used to love reading the thick Sunday paper, enjoying it all day but one day I handed my wife the paper and she said it was more like a Wednesday paper with ads. We quit taking the paper. Was also tired of finding “For more info read this blog”.

Oh shades of my older brother’s paper route. We had a bag of blue rubber bands around the house for years after he gave it up. As an adult with my own house, we had a wonderful paperboy. Now, some adult heaves it in the vague direction of the driveway as they drive by. Not that I’d want a kid riding through even our suburban neighborhood in the early hours these days. Just sayin’….Red, we miss you and your kind!

I’m a little disappointed in you Red, running off like that! Hope you have an attack of conscience and return to the scene of the crime to fess up, man up!

I finally gave up the print version of the local paper two weeks ago. Had kept the subscription up in memory of my Dad — last of a line of old-time printers!
