I think you’ll find that true of the hard liners on both sides. It seems like each time they come close to peace, someone on one side or the other causes an incident and the opposite side is all too willing to resume the hostilities to retaliate.
Netanyahu was throwing more verbal grenades at the table this morning on the “talk” shows. A lot of Israelis want to stop stealing land, and give back what’s already been stolen, Likud, AIPAC, and Netanyahu won’t go for that. THAT is the real roadblock to peace.
And the European powers who carved up the Turkish empire after WWI created the Kingdom of Jordan in much they way they created Palestine, Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, etc. What would that region look like today if the Turkey has not sided with Germany in 1914?
All evidence to the contrary notwithstanding. Israel gave up Sinai and Gaza and made peace with Egypt and Jordan. Clinton was close to a deal that Arafat walked away from. Try reading the news some time.
You mean the made up country of “Transjordan” which was created by the British to take care of the problem after they created “Saudi Arabia” and had a leftover Arab chief?
Complete and utter nonsense. Hamas fires bombs on civilians without provocation and when Israel FINALLY fires back people like you blame them for defending themselves.

Yes, embracing the terrorist group Hamas certainly makes Abbas’s motives clear.

Not that we didn’t know Abbas’s motives before this.

Israel is a democratic state. Your beloved Hamas are terrorists. That you can’t tell the difference speaks volumes about your own agenda.

Try learning some history some time. Prior to 1967 the “Palestinian people” were being occupied BY Egypt and Jordan.
