I saw a lot of abuse of affirmative action over several decades, as opposed to true “equal rights”, but I do find it funny that Clarence has long been the “whitest” member of the SCOTUS ever appointed, especially as Scalia’s lap dog, and the true “Silent Sam” in oral arguments during his tenure.

Here’s an idea: How do you ENFORCE the idea of race-blind selection? Studies have shown clearly that there is a bias, such that if you have the same resume with different pictures, the white one is far more likely to be selected. IQ tests are famously biased against African-Americans — which led some idiots to claim that this is a legitimate genetic difference, which (for the record) it certainly is not. (Notably, the gap has been closing in recent years, something the racists cannot account for.)So if you can come up with a way for race to NEVER be considered, go to it. Affirmative Action is a way to level the playing field, which currently places equal candidates of different races at different levels.

When majority-black schools in poor sections of town provide the same quality of education as the majority-white schools in the suburbs, I could agree with your main point. So far, though, the evidence favors the suburban student to get a better education.

To be fair, throwing anyone, no matter their race, into Harvard when they have graduated from a horrible high school is not likely to be much good either for the student or the school.

So, the real issue is finding a way to provide equal-quality education, regardless of race, socio-economic standing, or section of the county/state/country. If we could make that happen (easier said than done), I would agree that there is no reason to discriminate one way or another in college admissions.

If Thomas was liberal, Bennett would be a racist, but Bennett is clearly not a racist, since Thomas is conservative…. This is what passes for intelligence today. In fact, if Thomas was a liberal and saw his name upside-down, perhaps he’d say Hey buddy you don’t want to go there! You folks on the left have run out of useful causes, and are embarrassing yourselves now.

Best way to take race out of consideration is to refuse to identify yourself. That way all that shows is your ability

This is one more cartoon, of hundreds of others, by Bennett that proves he is a total extremist, racist, and refuses to listen to reason on any issue.

I am willing to bet he would call ANY Black conservative an “Uncle Tom” or an “Oreo”. Is not that racist? We hear the DemoTAXocrats calling Black conservatives “Uncle Tom” or “Oreo” all the time. Is not that racist and homophobic?

    Consider the source …
