It’s called Cosplay, and there are some folks that take it very seriously! Most Cons have Cosplay competitions for the best costumes with cash prizes.

And I don’t get the punchline either.

Comic cons have been about more than comics for a long time. There are Star Wars comics and graphic novels now, but the more accurate term for the cons would be SciFiFantasyGeekfest. Last year I saw a number of Game of Thrones characters, as well as the superheroes from the latest Avengers movie.

I thought the “clouds” referred to the thought bubbles over Beardo’s head.
