My family used to own a set of actual encyclopedias… that had gone as far as the Reagan presidency.

We still have the ones my parents bought in the 60’s. Interesting read, still. And with the paper smell as a bonus.

we had a 1960 version of the World Book Encyclopedia that my parents bought. My kids used them until they got out of elementary school then I gave them to Goodwill in like 1980. Now days my grandkids would not know how to use a book to research something.

Last summer I got into a “discussion” with my grandson on what is a “tablet”? I was talking about writing on a Big Chief tablet and he wanted to know who made that one and I told him it was a pad of paper called a tablet and he basically told me I didn’t know what I was talking about because a table is like an iPad……………I like that Zack is showing the kids the museum of past history.

I think every generation goes through this. Why, after we got a t.v., we had to change channels manually And there were only two channels. and it wasn’t unusual for a program to be interrupted due to technical difficulties.
