Yeah, it’s going to be calm before the prom, alright. That traffic is going to be very, very calm… – Whoah, there, Gunth! You’re living a little dangerously. That water was probably bottled in….. “EAST PITTS!”…where all the… less… good stuff is…. you might just be drinking… _ordinary water…water…wa….(cue echo effect)…. -Rosa should be careful. Condors are going south for their spring break…. – Quill is excited about mood lights. Mostly because he usually only has one mood. His happy face and his mad face are all the same… – I guess Luann is just entertained by the fact that she’s in a moving vehicle, and it’s not her feet on the pedals…either that, or she doesn’t have to worry about getting a ticket, this time….. – And in the meantime, I hope that their calves are in gooooood shape……….

Free water huh? I bet that is not water. Also will they make the prom? Should be a lot of adventure and crazy stuff happening. Rosa is a knockout by the way, not to take anything away from our girl.

They’ll need a hot tub… after the walking they’re getting ready to do. The limo will be able to keep up, since the traffic isn’t going anywhere for a while. Hopefully they’ve got some “Snickers” in the mini-fridge, too….

I get the feeling Rosa is gonna make Gunther stand up in the skylight next.

Luann’s lipstick… that’s VERY distracting.

Actually, Ox wont let Lu and them in, on account of the fact that he doesn’t recognize them… Rosa’s hair is windswept, they look all grumpy and tired and sweaty, and Gunther is full of water and they had to roll him there, like he was a barrel….

Delta and Bernice have crashed, and Brad and Toni will be called to the rescue. They will then phone Luann with the tragic news, so the limo will take them all to the hospital to wait for their friends to be rushed into surgery.

And Gunther – do you know what vodka tastes like?

Hardly free water, Gunth — it is included in the limo rental fee, dude…

Welp, might as well play truth or dare to pass the time, guys. Dare to moon the other drivers, or tell the truth about whether or not you are currently wearing a pair of Gunther’s homemade plaid underpants? YOU decide!

Oh, yawnnnnnnnnn! My IS (Irish Setter dog) is sound asleep…not such a bad idea! We had her professionally groomed today…such a lovely girl with her long mahogany red fur floating in the breeze…she was breath-taking. ’Nite all! ;)

Is there another blog for Luann by Greg? The one from the studio website has been down for a long time now.

Since Luann-CS has been down I have clicked the FB link in the top right a few times this year but I’m not a frequenter of Facebook so I don’t regularly visit the Luann page. I guess I thought I was unaware of something other than that but I see now. I should check out what I’ve missed.

Best of a bad situation.

Something serious is about to happen. I agree – thinking an accident’s already occurred, involving their friends. Hope I am wrong!

Either these kids will all wind up at the same college or Greg Evans is planning on retiring. Can’t see how the strip would work after they have all gone their separate ways.

Or involving minor characters, carrying the message of drinking/driving… esp since it’s prom season.

Maybe they won’t make it to the prom on time, but at least the kids are indisputably having quite a good time already, as the grumpy-looking driver seems to recognize. He may not even bother to tell them the limo is stopped in traffic (which they in their present high spirits may not even notice). I just hope that the reason for the traffic tie-up does not involve harm to any of our cast….

You can tell the newbies at limo riding compared to the more experienced passengers.Newbies in many cases act like Luann’s group.

That must be some headwind they are facing — since traffic is at a standstill, yet Rosa’s hair is still streaming out quite a bit.

Luann looks like Betty Hutton in one of her more low-keyedperformances.

I have a bad feeling about Delta and Bern.

Teenagers are living(?) proof that the human body can function without a rain telling it what to do. I still can’t believe that I somehow survived the experience.

We had been talking about how Delta would likely be dropped from the cast, once she left for Howard U. Now… ?

“Are the “construction workers” on strike?”^At this point, it would sound like it. But I have seen other sites take just as long (maybe a bit longer). I think that the process of scripting pages and making sure the codes are free from errors and running it over and over could take some time if there’s only one or two staffed to do it…

Is it a truism that the more you plan, the more likely it is that things will go wrong? Hmm. . .

An episode of “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” had Mary experience a bad case of Murphy’s Law. First off, she shows up to work with a bump in her otherwise perfectly coiffed hair. Then she sprains her ankle. Then her dress for the Teddies that night comes back from the cleaner’s with a huge stain on it. Then her dryer conks out on her while she’s drying her hair. Then she has a cold. And to top it all off, it turns out that her “dream date” for the Teddies is none other than Ted Baxter. But in spite of all that, she goes to the Teddies, wins, and when she goes up to the podium to make her acceptance speech—with flat hair, ankle in gauze, a long, everyday dress, and sniffles and sneezes—she tells the audience, “I usually look so much better than this.” The name of the episode? “Put On a Happy Face.” No, none of those things happened to Luann, Rosa, or the guys, but I thought it’d just be fun to mention here, considering the bad luck they’re about to encounter.

Okay, where do I start? 1) For every person that thinks someone else isn’t funny, there is also one person who does think someone is funny. If it is not humorous to you, then don’t read it, and move on! … when people post on GoComics, I’m sure that this is the case for everybody!!!!! ..NO ONE IS FUNNY TO ALL PERSONS, AND NO ONE IS THE EXPERT ON ALL THINGS FUNNY (this includes both you AND myself) …. and heh, heh, trust me (just as you’ve said) , you are not the expert on what’s funny for all, just as I’m not the leader of funniness… please don’t confuse “personal taste” with “the universal standard on all things”…. – But it doesn’t even have to be this way… live and let live , if you get the message…. – 2) As sir Dave has also mentioned, there are people who actually seem to have the purpose of “tearing down”, and not building up.. these are the ones you should be directing a tirade to… – 3) Templo SUD doesn’t bother anyone … -

And, one other thing … I don’t try to make mention of this, because it’s not the kind of person I am, but I did actually have a cartoonist to feature a joke in their comic, that they themselves said was inspired from a comment that I made on their comics! They even mentioned it on their website, and said that they appreciated my brand of humor! That’s at least one vote for me!… and even if that’s the only vote I get, I still treasure that one !….

1) Gunther, why are you so thirsty all of a sudden, mah man?2) Rose, is this why you spent all that time/money at the beauticians?3) Quill, that’s one stoner response to lights if I ever heard one..4) Luann, reverting to your childhood self?Shouldn’t your response be “Are we there yet?”

It all depends on if what some speculate holds true, in regards to the “source of the traffic jam”…. I hope it’s not that outcome, but only time will tell if this is what happens. – If not that, then my guess is that it’s a continuation of what Greg did before, in having these two “double date”…..

If they did imbibe, and get picked up (I guess it’d have to be by a foot patrol or something), then it really will be a night they don’t forget…

-Luann heading to the prom with Rosa instead of Bernice indicate the Rosa is replacing Bernice or only that Bernice does not have a date-I thought it was logical that Rosa and Luann were double-dating, because Bernice had already planned to help Delta feed a needy family and only later decided that she wanted to go to the prom. Besides, Luann and Rosa are going with two guys who are sharing living quarters. I didn’t think this meant anything about Bernice being replaced in Luann’s life, although, as I’ve probably said a million times, I figure that this is what’s going to happen since they will be heading in different directions after graduation….

That episode was the definition of “anti-climactic”… I think Jerry, Elaine, etc. would have loved to have someone “collect” them, Lol! – I think, too, that Luann and them would probably love to get out, but wished that it wasn’t Frank who had to be the one to do it…

Way to act like you’ve never been in a limo before, guys and gals.

The reason for the traffic jam could possibly be a fatal crash of teenagers driving drunk… It’s nothing new; it is a fact that it has happened to many previous generations over the course of high school prom history.

The Prom Night… What will happen tomorrow? Eep!
