I look forward to his series on Republican gerrymandering and voter suppression laws.

Don’t go using facts on DKimmel. Like nailing Jello to a tree.

Oooooookay. Of course, the voter fraud you’re suggesting for all practical purposes doesn’t exist and hasn’t been seen. Typical Republican response, fixing a problem that doesn’t exist.

Stantis you must have had a really lousy time in whatever education system you went through. Either that or you don’t know any actual human beings who teach for a living.

Oh, and one other thing. That “Black Panther” thing was almost entirely an incident manufactured in the minds of FOX viewers.

No he’s probably talking about suppressing the military vote and of course the democratic mantra of “vote early and often”.

I worked my way through college, got my BA, MA and teaching credential. No teaching jobs. Worked in a pet store for 2 years. Finally started substituting. Got hired as a temporary (TC). Was fired every June and rehired every Sept. for 6 years. No benefits of any kind. Worked hard as a middle school teacher, served on committees, ran school clubs, brought food for my kids who were hungry and spent more than I could afford on class supplies. Finally became probationary, benefits at last but no promise of a job in the future. After 8 years I was given tenure, full benefits and job security. I continued to attend professional growth with my own money. I loved my wild 8th grade students and my job. I took great pride in their accomplishments. I became a mentor for other teachers and refused the higher pay that would come with an administrative credential. I wanted to be in the classroom. After 34 years teaching, plus 12 working other jobs I retired. I choose to leave while I still enjoyed my students, but knowing I was no longer able to keep up the needed pace. I still teach college part time. Most of the teachers I have known can tell a very similar story. And the young, college grads can’t even get TC jobs. They just sub daily and try to retain their enthusiasm as they hope for a job. There are bad teachers just like there are bad comic strip writers and bad people in all other professions. Could you please give us a break? We don’t design the curriculum, we don’t design the tests, we don’t control the discipline rules, we don’t decide what language a kid speaks and we don’t set their family rules. We just do our best. Could you find someone else to pick on for a change? Please?

Do you also recall that when the Dems wanted a recount in FL, the Republicans said “OK, do a recount”. Then the Dems insisted on only recounting certain counties that they chose?

Yeah, Democrat Bull Conner. Also, yes, political machines and the voter fraud they produced was a bi-partisan thing going way back. Now it’s primarily done by Democrats. That’s why they scream bloody murder anyone threatens that fraud with something as innocuous, and as popular, as voter ID.
