Good morning, Vagabonds. Yesterday I went to my monthly exersize (sp?) program and felt good – last month I didn’t perform so well, probably because I had a cold.
This year, the holiday of Purim falls on the Ides of March and I will wear a costume. I was bar mitzvah on the Ides of March exactly 62 years ago and, at that time, was acutely aware that that was date of Julius Caesar’s assassination.
@Jan, the Gregorian calendar was devised in the 1500s, so the Ides of March at the time of JC’s assassination should have been with the Julian calendar. However, I may be old, but my bar mitzvah on March 15 occurred with the Gregorian calendar :-) . .
Today is Purim and I intend to wear my Beatle wig and funny hat to services.- it’s the only opportunity I get to hide my bald head..
Back to cold weather for a few days. The only good part is that it is keeping a major storm south of us.Time really goes fast. It’s hard to realize that I will be having my 85th birthday on Tuesday. I don’t feel that old in my mind, just my body.
Our trip is going great. So good to be with the family! We’ll head down to San Diego tomorrow to see our youngest for a few days, then back home and some cool weather. :))
Happy Birthday, Woodworker!!!! I hope I’ll be as active as you are at that age! Congratulations!!!
Rita, next time you are planning to spend the night in North Las Vegas, let me know. There are some great restaurants up there and maybe we could get together.
