That’s not really the way kids view the world. There’s an anecdote about a man who was interviewing kindergartners. (I don’t know that it was Art Linkletter, or someone not famous.) He asked a boy about his home and his family. When he asked the boy “Do you have a brother?” the boy said yes. A series of questions about the brother followed. The goal of the interview was to test how kids perceived the world, so at last the question was turned around: “And does HE have a brother?” Without a pause, the boy answered “No.”
