Good morning, Vagabonds. Yesterday, I bought a phonograph at Bed and Baths and Beyond that can copy phonograpgh records and audio tapes to CDs and thus save space, Now to figure out how to work it in spite of the manual.
Good morning Vagabonds..Sun shine, -18 degrees. Yep, it’s a little chilly..Spring in two weeks. Yahoo! I saw a sign of Spring just the other day, It said “Frost Heaves”..Ok, everybody stay warm..ttfn
Arye, I have one of those and it works very well. Unfortunately, it was too late for a lot of our cassettes – they had deteriorated beyond the point of recovery. We have, however, converted a lot of our old vinyl records to CD’s, and we’re not done yet. You can get a supply of the blank CD’s at Staples or Office Depot fairly cheaply. Just be careful of what type you buy.
I think all of our cassettes are beyond recovery also. The part that is really driving me crazy, is that we literally gave away HUNDREDS of vinyl albums! We no longer had a component to play them on, and thought CD’s were the only way to go, so we donated them to Goodwill about 10 years ago. Just the other day, I mourned the album cover for Paint Your Wagon……………It would have looked good hanging on the wall in our home theater along with other movie posters.
Spring is sort of showing it’s beautiful head again. It was 53 yesterday! Snow is melting very fast! Probably will have another 2 or 3 good snow storms for the rest of winter. Of course, those snow storms will come in April and May!

Rita, I just found that vinyl album on Amazon for less than $20. The cover really does look like a movie poster.
