    Good morning Vagabonds.

Still cold but sunny. Going to be around 30-32 today. Not like up in the NEK. At least no snow.

    Have a good one.

Good morning, Vagabonds. There was such a nice breeze this evening, I felt no need to use the A/C.

This Saturday I will be 3/4 of a century old – I can’t believe it. Minus my asthma and being overweight, I still feel like a teenager.

We didn’t have any power yesterday. The freeze caused a lot of limbs to break off our trees. We live in a pine forest. The limbs of these pine trees just snap off and fall and take out the power lines and burn out the transformers. The whole town was powerless, a town of over 700 houses. We were powerless for 9 and a half hours. Thank goodness we have gas, so we had hot water, a stove to cook on, and a fire in our gas fireplace.

Hay David, when limes fall off trees it sounds like a Shot gun going off.And it’s good to have a gas stove in stead of electric.I’m just a fellow who’s use to it..ttfn

    Good Morning, Vagabonds,

It got up to 53 yesterday!!!! Love it!!Things are melting really fast. Now, the Valley has to worry about flooding. Our snow pack numbers are really good. We’re sitting about 155% of the median. That should give us lots of water this summer.

Well, David and Mark…….the builder of our house put in an electric stove! Only had one power outage that I needed to cook during. Had our wood burning stove going, so I cooked on the flat top using cast iron skillets. Worked real fine!

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

I remember being without power for about 3 days several years ago – a transformer had exploded nearby. The weather wasn’t bad, so we had no real hardship. Like David we had gas cooking and the water still flowed. We had one hurricane lamp, several candles and a few flashlights for a light source. We got through it the same way we did tent camping.

    Everyone have a great day!
