The GOP wailing that Obama is being “unconstitutional” would carry more weight if they hadn’t pushed through unconstitutional abortion restrictions on the very same day. Obama is a constitutional scholar. What he’s able to do is limited by the non-cooperation of congress, but it’s all perfectly legal.

And that is quite likely to happen. Well stated.

On the other hand……who among us (diehard conservatives included) would disagree that if one wants something badly enough, and one meets resistance at every attempt to work together, one has to either give up or do it himself? Whether it’s waiting for the roommates to wash their own dishes or waiting for the city to clean up the park across the street from your house…..“if you want the job done right, do it yourself”.

There ARE limitations, of course. Just because your neighbor sorely needs to be removed from the human race, this does not give you the right to provide your neighborhood with that service.

It will be fun to see how this plays out. Congress has become quite skilled at immobilizing government legislatively. It’s almost like there’s no fun left in it, they’re so polished. Let’s see how they do with trying to immobilize executive orders. Will our “representatives” have time to do this and still make all those calls begging for money?

How many Federal Workers are making less than $10 per hour? Not Many. This is what ‘Hope and CHANGE’ looks like for 300 million people.

The David-Bacon act requires government contractors to pay a higher wage than other workers.

^^It’s “Davis-Bacon”, and it sets government job wages as those prevailing in the industry and region, not “higher than other workers”.

yes, people will be able to afford living. They’ll make their mortgage payments on time thus frustrating the big bankers who wanted to foreclose and re-sell the house. They’ll spend some on goods and services.Heavens, there;s no telling what this might do to those who bet against a good economy!
