I’m glad Stel enlarged your comic because it is ever so cute and clever. My eyesight is good but not that good. I guess you know Gilroy is the Garlic capital of the world which makes Will Rogers statement more understandable. I agree with Fergus. Mel does rather look like Bert.

@ BBCBoth of those are cute ideas, and I like them, but that would shrink the bunny down to far.I cropped the original down to get the bunny to fill the avatar box as much as possible. On my tablet and phone it’s sometimes hard to see that it’s a watercolor as it is.If I reduce the size more, I’m afraid of turning it into a blue blob…

Well, my day is pretty sad. I made the tough decision to put Penny to sleep this morning. I am a pretty emotional guy, so I am already expecting to see her in her usual places to lie as the sun moves around the yard.

I’m sorry to hear that, cleo. I’m sure those decisions are never easy, but I’m sure for the better.

You gave her a good life! Remember that!

I’ve put my share of dogs and cats to sleep, or had them die in my arms. IT IS NEVER EASY AND ALWAYS ACHES! TO THIS DAY, I MISS THEM ALL! ESP. *TEDDY, GALLAGHER, and SUSIE (dogs who grew up together) and my little HANNAH BEE (kitten born on my back porch). And at some point, I will go through it again. :-( I guess that is the price you pay when you adopt pets.

@Grog and DryThank you for your concern. Gocomics is definitely a caring group. We have lost many good friends, both human and pets since we have been together over the years. Care and comfort have been a big help to us all during sadness. We have also met new friends and been informed of new pet adoptions. I have known you both for quite a few years now and it is good to have such loyal friends. Thanks!

What is the ‘VIEW IMAGE’ you talk about. I can’t find that key on my computer.

Last night my Sweetheart developed diarrhea.She had me up half a dozen times, taking her out to squirt and dribble.Had to clean the carpet when I got home this afternoon. I got on line and looked for a home remedy.Same thing I would do for myself. Imagine that. I also found out that Pepto works on dogs.1ml for every ten lbs of dog. Every six hours.So I figured that 1 tsp would not be to much. That’s just under 5 ml and Sweet is between 50, 60 lbs.How do you get a dog that’s feeling bad to take Pepto?I already had some rice made up. Sooo…1 tsp Pepto.2 tbsp rice1 tbsp gravy from her caned dog food. (Just the gravy. No meat.)She ate it with gusto.

Little more complicated for me.I have to save the image, then look at it in photos.

I don’t have those options.

@StelBel & PerkycatThank you both. It would be nice to think that Penny is being introduced to the Citizen of Dog departed family. She was more social than any dog I have ever had. She never met a pet she didn’t"t like.

cleo You know we are here, always, unrelenting, what a great GROUP! Most of us will sadly never meet but you and I have been BUDS since, what, early 2009? Do you realize how long ago that was? LOVE YOU NEKKID MAN!

I guess Penny hasn’t met any of the kind of people I hear about on our local news, cleo. And then there’s the politicians.

StelBel, I just started watching the first season of Newhart tonight. I have 3 seasons and will get the 4th when it’s released in August. Anyway, Dick (Bob Newhart) had a similar conversation to the one we had at Cleo & Company yesterday, with the yocals on the town council. You know, the one about being mentioned in the same breath as…..Well one of them came out with Ethan Allen. I just had to laugh, thinking about our back and forth.

Thanks Eldo – I always forget about that right click thing. Tried it and it did work just fine. Would you believe I have a degree in computer science – but so many years ago. Things have changed just a little. Thanks again.

cleo I’m so very sorry to hear about Penny. I know you and your wife will miss her greatly. I hope you can both take comfort in the fact that you made the last few years of her life very happy ones. My heart goes out to you both.

Happyx3 I hope your Sweetheart feels better soon. My vet always had me add boiled ground beef to the rice to help ease an upset tummy. 2 parts rice to 1 part ground beef. I hope she’s better by morning and you dont have to go that far.

So sorry to hear about Penny, CLEO. My heart goes out to you and LilG.You were there for me when I lost Mua. You are right about the circle of friends we have become here.

ELDO, your redux is hilarious. I agree that you should start your own strip. We already have a famous cartoonist amongst us. Or two or three. Citizens of Dog and AC are inspirational for budding cartoonists.
