    Good morning Vagabonds.

Had a thunderstorm last night at about 5:00 pm. Shook the whole house, poured for a short while and then stopped.Clearing now and going to be a good weekend with temps around 50 degrees both days. Then they are talking about snow on Wed.We went out dancing last night. Only did about 5 or 6 very slow dances with short steps and spent the rest of the time listening to music. We went mainly for her to get out for awhile as she basically only gets out to go to a doctor’s appointment or therapy. Once in a while we go to one of the daughter’s houses for dinner or a birthday party.

All of you take care of your selves.

Good morning, vagabonds. So far all my friends who have read my article like it. I received no renumeration for writing it, but perhaps someone who reads it will be able to guide me to the unanswered questions in my genealogical search.

Morning, Vagabonds. One of our family legends was that my mother was related to Davy Crockett. It was true that her family did come from that part of Tennessee, but my research turned up absolutely no tie to the Crockett family. However, while I was searching for that, I found a common ancestor with Wyatt Earp!

    Good Morning, Vagabonds,

14 this morning & a skiff of snow. Saw your huge thunderstorms on the Weather Channel, Woodworker. Glad you had a chance to get out.

Arye & David………….we have some famous ancestors………on Jack’s side, there was a horse thief, and on my side, a Prince in Poland. Never looked up the lineage since they changed the names so many times. I’m sure it is “Urban Legends” like so many others.

Had another photo used on the weather on KXLH, It sure is fun to have my shots published.

    Good afternoon Vagabonds.

About the closest I get to being related to someone famous is the possibility that Wm. Howard Taft’s wife was a cousin of my grandmother. Their maiden names were both Herron and Grandma always told me we were related. (another family legend?)

Yesterday got up to 70 and to day was 76. A beautiful day for our assistant pastor’s wedding.

Good morning, Vagabonds. Rita, I would be interested to see how you descend from the Polish kings. They were also related to the Lithuanian and Russian Grand dukes, in fact they were eventually related to all European royalty.

Morning, Vagabonds. Another one of our family legends is that we’re related to Sam Houston on my father’s side. My grandmother’s mother was a Houston and they were from Tennessee. But when I chased it down, I found that we had to back about twenty generations and clear back to Scotland to find a common ancestor. If you have to go back that far, it shouldn’t count for anything.

Howdy Vagabonds..Partly cloudy, temps in the 20s..Well didn’t really make it yesterday, but, I’ll ask you now..This question is more a memorial to the actor: He played the great American Dad guiding his family though the Great Depression and WWII, can you name the actor? This one is a give away..Well I must start getting for Church, have fun..ttfn

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

Very nice wedding yesterday. The church was absolutely packed, standing room only. And perfect weather for it – 74 degrees, sunny and no wind.

I looked through my closet yesterday and found that I had formal evening wear, business casual wear and play clothes. Nothing suitable for an afternoon wedding, so I went to Ross. I found a perfect skirt and top for only $30. I think I’ll shop there more often.

Today feels like a truly lazy day. No plans except to fix a corner of the screen on the “catio”.
