In all of my 50 years and flying several times a year, I never had luggage mixed up and the one time I was patted down because I stupidly wore shirt with “bling” on it, they were very careful. I now I was lucky, but overall, even though it’s not as much fun as it used to be, I’ll take a long plane ride over 12 hours in a car or several days to get somewhere. Actually, I’m somewhat impressed at the airlines.

fl;ying is such a pain and hardly what it used to be. now we are all terrorist suspects. as long as i don’t have to pay to be abused, lol.flying is quicker on your butt than driving though.

too bad Elly doesn’t explain Canadian culture us Americans who have no clue about those who live on the blank side of the weather map.

I had a luggage mixup on a train to Kingston once. They didn’t tell me that the train with checked luggage service wasn’t the train I was booked on. (D’oh!)

But I was able to check into the hotel okay, then go back to the train station for my luggage that night.

The next day, the power went out for most of the northeast. That was my summer vacation for 2003

Taking a plane anywhere is such a hassle now, I’d rather walk. Which means Hawaii is out.

-wonder about her ulterior motive-Yesterday, one of the posters provided Lynn’s comments on this. Lynn had originally intended for Sue to be setting this up as a way of starting an affair with John, but Lynn said she herself chickened out on following through with the story arc…

I haven’t flown since Reagan scabbed the Air Traffic Controllers, although that is not entirely post hoc.

We’ve flown once since my husband got a pacemaker/defibrillator. He can’t go through the detector. He also now has a 24/7 IV that goes to a vein close to his heart & pump that is in a fanny pack. No telling what he would have to go through to get on a plane!

I think “a bathroom all to yourself” sold it.

Since I got my hip replaced with a titanium one, I’ve not flown and have no desire to go through all it would take to do so.
