Fourcrows said it best yesterday. There’s no trouble with people using their cell phones on flights as long as they’re will to step outside of the plane for the duration of the call.^And there’s also this….http://www.thedrunkpirate.com/2013/02/25/how-to-take-your-own-alcohol-on-an-airplane/^Fly the friendly skies……..Grinningly,C.

We have an Oliphant collection from the late 80s and he used this joke about a smoker ejected in mid-flight.

Why wait? Just start yelling. Nobody can see what’s happening inside your packing crate.

YES !! And ejection seats in restaurants, movie theaters and concerts, as well as other public public functions.

Yell away! You’re only going to annoy your mother upstairs, outside of your basement room.

Yeah. If the FAA really did that at least half the people flaying in that plane would be ejected. But at least the plane cabin would be quiet, for a change.

Cell phone yakkers are so oblivious to their surroundings, I would bet he wouldn’t notice he was ejected until a second or two before he splattered all over the landscape. I’ve sometimes wondered if there’s been a big uptick in blackmail recently, with so many people discussing their adultery and other things on their cell phones, right there in public……….

Interesting comment, considering the bill to stop this was introduced by two conservatives (who I agree with, by the way, but then I don’t form my opinions based on which ‘side’ I’m on like some morons).

I’ve heard people fighting with someone on their cellphones in the middle of a department store, I don’t want to hear that while I’m trapped in a metal tube at 30,000 feet.

That’s what most people do to annoy the cons!

Clark Kent: My friend in Colorado and his friend had stopped at a traffic light on their motorcycles (he’s paraplegic and has a trike.) A gal on her cell phone ran over his friend, killing him, and John heard her say, “Just a minute, I think I hit something”. She KILLED A MAN, and was charged with NOTHING, not even negligent driving! (the current drunk kid case blaming wealth is similiar)

While walking my dog, I’ve had to run for my life, while on sidewalks, THREE TIMES from drivers turning corners while on their phones and running up on the sidewalks, and I life in a tiny town where talking on cell phones while driving is illegal, and I still see roughly 50% of drivers downtown on their phones.
